Merry Christmas to me!

Lookie what I got! This was my grandmother's set of knitting needles and crochet hooks. (Not to mention various other things!)

We found the price tags to be quite entertaining. For example there was a circular needle with a price tag of $1.08 and a cable needle for a price tag of 98 cents.

Grandma had a thing for size 10 1/2 knitting needles (there are 4 sets) and size J crochet hooks (there were 3, but I am with her on that one, I am quite partial to that size as well). I am very excited to find the Tunisian Crochet Hook. I have really wanted to try my hand at Tunisian crochet but I couldn't find a hook anywhere.

Now with all my grandmother's wonderful knitting needles I will have to learn to knit. So far I have been unsuccessful but I have a new found desire now. :) So who out there wants to be my knitting mentor?????

It's twice as nice to get needles from family isn't it? Congrats!
speaking as someone who knits but doesn't crochet from this angle knitting is the easy part.
